Seeing Ourselves Anew

Now, here we are. . .

In this Second Week of the Usui 21-Day Retreat. . .

Remembering that through the practice of Reiki, we empty our very self as we open to consider the deep truths. . .

Including the Truth of Suffering.
Every possible kind of suffering.
From angst to intense physical pain, "dis-ease" and sorrow. . .

May we open to healing and wellness. . .

As we move deeper into our consideration of Suffering, we ask ourselves this question:

Could the root of all Suffering be in the mistaken notion that we simply can take from life what we want, without regard to our own highest good or the highest good of all concerned?

If so. . .

If self-filled grasping is at the root of all suffering. . .

Then, when we release our attachment to those cravings and desires (addictions) with which we trap ourselves in suffering. . .

We will come to a new and vivid awareness of the way things are. ..

We will see anew how we fit in the Web of Life. . .
Remembering the interconnectedness of all things in the universe.

The 21 days of the Usui Retreat are days of being mindful, and especially mindful of Relationship.

These days give us a chance to recall the people who are close to our hearts, and offer to them, our gratitude for the many forms of assistance they share with us.

We exist, and thrive in our existence, because of the activities and good will of many, many other beings.

From parents, family, friends, communities in larger and larger circles we expand, until. . .

We include all of the beings that have ever lived in time and space.

Again, in this very special, even sacred cyberspace, where at any given moment we may share Reiki with a community of several or several hundred other practitioners. . .

Please pause. . .

Take a deep breath. . .

Sit tall and comfortably. . .

Leave the day's busy-time behind and join Wind-in-the-Feather with this meditation:

Seeing ourselves anew

We living creatures,
we felicitous fields
of patterns of energy,
life-force energy,
boundless Ki of a limitless source. . .

Interconnected, resonating
living creatures,
flowing with potential's course. . .

Now one with the Whole,
as whirlpools in a stream. . .

Now distinct within the Whole,
as whirlpools in a stream. . .

Open to receive,
free to align
with design
Mystical. . .

Reflections
of the Organizing Principle,
Ever present,
Ever magical. . .

We living creatures are
The Fugues of
Resonant
Being.

Awakening from a proud misconception

Greetings. . .

In this Third Week of the Usui 21-Day Retreat. . .

Having, through the practice of Reiki, moved to empty our very self, as we open to consider the Truth of Suffering. . .

From angst, to physical pain, "dis-ease" and sorrow. . .

As we open to healing and wellness. . .

We prepare ourselves to change the atmosphere!

Takata Sensei said, "Remove the cause. . . ."

Now, here we are. . .

Are we ready to move into the process of letting go of the causes of suffering by practicing Integrity?

As we do a self-treatment each day this week let us be mindful of our Integrity in:

Intention
Understanding
Communication
Action
Work in our everyday life
Effort

Now in the beginning of this final week, and in this very special, even sacred cyberspace, where at any given moment we may share Reiki with a community of several or several hundred other practitioners. . .

Please pause. . .

Take a deep breath. . .

Sit tall and comfortably. . .

Leave the day's busy-time behind and join Wind-in-the-Feather with this meditation:

Awakening from a proud misconception

You ugly wretch,
Eternally imperfect one,
Fodder for the angry gods,

Food for mass consumption. . .
Behold the rugged process
Of your intense unfolding,

And celebrate your scars,
For in the Now,
You are already conceived
In perfect beauty.

Many blessings

Now, here we are. . .

And at the close of our Usui 21-Day Retreat, These wishes, gifts, and blessings for one and all. . .

At last, in this very special, even sacred cyberspace, where at any given moment we may share Reiki with a community of several or several hundred other practitioners. . .

Please pause. . .

Take a deep breath. . .

Sit tall and comfortably. . .

Leave the day's busy-time behind and join Wind-in-the-Feather with this meditation:

Many blessings

May we be at ease
in the moment. . .

At peace and at ease within. . .

May we feel in harmony with the Infinite . . .
Softness, expansion, and happiness. . .

As we glow,
like torch lights
in the mist.

May we be free from fear of change,
Free from ill-making tyrants within,
Free from self-filled need and strife,
With its never ending din.

May we dance in deep, deep wellness,
Strong in body, heart, and mind,
May we drink from and share the cup of loving kindness,
Know the joy of generosity,
The warmth of laughter divine.

And always, always,
May we extend that loving kindness to others,
Draw love for those whom, in our Reiki practice, we touch. . .

And may they too, be free from fear of change,
From ill making tyrants within,
Free from attachment and ill will,
From the struggle, and the din.

May they too, be healthy and happy,
Strong in body, heart, and mind,
May they drink from and share the cup of loving kindness,
Know the joy of generosity,
The warmth of laughter divine.

And then, in an ever expanding and sparkling spiral. . .

May all beings on the planet,
In the universe,
In all universes,
Everywhere. . .
Be blessed.

May all beings be at peace,
Come to happiness,
Glow like torch lights in the mist.

For we and they,
Relinquishing self-filled need and strife,
Sinking into Stillness. . .
deeply. . .

Breathing,
befriending life,
drinking in the Moment,
trusting. . .

Empower
Our
Very Destiny.
